Our client, a foremost brand within the Irish Market are looking to hire Category Manager. This person will have the responsibility for the creation of the category strategy for the business.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the creation of category plans and strategy
- Responsible for annual budget
- Manage all teams to deliver all aspects of the agreed plan
- Key point of contact for Category Management area
- Delivery of category plans, range reviews, retailer agreements and implementing any change plans
- Manage the development of category and data analysis skills
- Initiation of category strategy
- Strong agency management skills
- Manage the key interpersonal relationships
- Lead relationship building with other Commercial Functions
- Must all strive to find a better way of working
- Source and feedback competitor activity
Key Skills and Experience needed:
- 3rd Level Degree (preferably 2:1 or above) or equivalent
- Consumer marketing or commercial experience preferably within FMCG
- Experience of strategic planning and innovation
- Working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate effectively and understand key profit & loss metrics
- Results orientated and can work on own initiative
- Effective interpersonal skills and able to stand behind your beliefs
- Resilient, with a positive attitude toward change, being open & flexible and a team player
- Analytical & displays sound judgement
