Account Executive – Food

An excellent opportunity exists for a motivated and ambitious person to work in the Commercial Department of one of the larger Irish FMCG companies. The purpose of this new role is to provide support to the National Accounts and wider Food Commercial Management team in their objectives of driving sales and profitability.

Location: Dublin, Louth, Meath

Duties:

  • Support to the National Accounts team on day to day basis
  • Internal and external data analysis and reporting
  • Sales forecasting and analysis
  • Promotional profitability review and customer margin analysis
  • Compiling MS PowerPoint presentations for customer meetings
  • Working closely with the field sales teams to maximise sales and distribution
  • Monitoring and reporting competitor activity
  • Maintaining up to date price surveys of food competitor products
  • Participation and commercial team support on cross functional project teams
  • Attending customer trade shows
  • Ah hoc store visits as required, so full clean driving licence is required

Key skills/person characteristics:

  • Degree in business or related discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly both orally, in writing and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with good understanding of the FMCG environment
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in fast paced and demanding environment
  • Full clean driving licence
