Commercial Analyst

The main focus of this role will be to support the team in driving forecasting accuracy; working closely with the relevant teams to assist in achieving business objectives and targets in relation to forecasting accuracy and targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Analysis of sales order forecast to identify any gaps, highlighting trends and issues that need to be addressed
• Generating forecasting accuracy report for monthly review and any other reports as needed
• Co-ordinating and organising forecasts for New Products, and other forecasting requests from the Purchasing team for supplier planning
• Manage stock allocation between customers as issues arise
• Monitor and highlight any potential stock issues in timely way
• Generate reports to analyse sales trends and highlighting key macro trends and issues to assist with decision making
• Sales and Gross Profitability analysis and reporting for Commercial Manager
• Analysis of promotional profitability and performance

Key skills/characteristics:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in forecasting and forecasting analytics within an FMCG environment
• Highly numerate with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent IT skills in particular MS Excel
• Ability to work in fast paced and demanding environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong team player
• 3rd level degree in business or related area
