Production Supervisor - Food

Location: Dublin, Kildare 

Roles and Responsibility:

• Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all workers in the Department and that the required Health, Safety and Environment standards are met
• Maintain adherence to all company, customer and legal requirements
• Maintain and improve the hygiene standards and promote a quality culture
• Plan and organise the production lines
• Work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures
• Ensure that all employee return to work processes are implemented
• Manage the communication and review process
• Establish performance objectives (KPI’s) for the production lines and take appropriate and timely corrective action as required
• Support and preparation for all internal and retailer audits
• Day to day management of production line and operators
• Compilation of daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Conducting of the appraisal and review process for production staff
• Manage grievance and disciplinary issues as required with the support of HR

Key Skills and Experience required: 

• High level of drive, determination and initiative
• Demonstrates a “right first time” approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Production, product and process knowledge
• Strong numeracy & PC skills
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational & planning skills
• Possesses process improvement/problem solving ability
• 3+ years Food Industry experience
• Proven track record of managing production lines in a manufacturing facility
