Head of Technical - Multi-Site Food Business

An excellent opportunity exists for Head of Technical within a successful food business, this role will have technical responsibility for two sites added value sites in Ireland. Reporting to the Managing Director, this person will oversee all Technical, Quality and Compliance.

Location: Longford, Offaly, Westmeath 

The Role:

Provide technical leadership for site quality and manufacturing teams and to ensure effective quality management systems are in place to guarantee both food safety and quality compliance.

Liaise closely with the company to share best practice learning with the group and to ensure that at all times the companies standards are maintained.

Liaise with site Quality Managers technical people in delivering the right quality product to customers - own label and branded.

Quality Managers within different areas of the business will report indirectly into this role. 

Essential Requirements:

• Degree level qualification in Food Science or equivalent
• Minimum of 8-10 years Quality/Technical Management
• Multi-site experience desirable
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of BRC and auditing
