Role Overview:
Work closely with the hiring The Supply Chain Manager will ensure that all material supplies are secured on time, in the right quantities and to the right quality; and that all company products are delivered, both internally and externally, on time and in the right quantities and to the right quality.
Role Deliverables:
- Contribute to company strategic development of our full Supply Chain
- Preparing annual plans and budgets in liaison with Executive and Senior managers, and ensure their implementation
- Devise and implement KPIs that enable effective and transparent performance management of the entire supply chain process
- Review performance against plans - implement agreed change where necessary
- Manage the process of developing a demand plan which flows into the planning process, aligning procurement, raw materials, and manufacturing and distribution activities to meet with service levels
- Ensure all purchasing and materials (supply and delivery) systems are operated and maintained in an up to date and accurate manner while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Contribute to the development and evolution of appropriate systems and procedures for supply chain control; and implementing all systems and procedures successfully
- Ensure the highest quality of raw goods procured, received, stored and transferred internally; and the quality of finished goods stored, transferred and delivered both internally and externally
- Oversee the management of our transport partners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvement and best practice
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
- Ensure the realization of the sales & operational planning (S&OP) process for the region, to meet business targets of service, competitiveness, quality & sales objectives
- Manage supply chain costs and all aspects of material inventory to minimize adverse stock holding impact on working capital in close collaboration with Finance
- Manage and resolve supply issues; ensure implementation of risk management initiatives to prevent stock outs and ensure implementation of policies and procedures during product shortages
- Collaborate with cross functional team for the development and implementation of the supply chain strategic plan
- Define and deploy a logistics strategy to support all locations
- Regular analysis of costs of movement of goods, and benchmarking against alternative providers
- Develop and operate effective management processes including regular reports and meetings, as required to support the delivery of the KPIs
- Work closely with 3rd party warehouse providers to ensure customer deliveries are shipped in a timely manner
- Responsible for reviewing the logistics component of all contracts in place with customers (existing and new) to ensure any agreed obligations are possible to fulfil
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and reports to finance for monthly closing
Experience and Qualifications:
- Third level qualification in business, management, logistics, warehousing
- Experience in international/global supply chain management
- 8+ years experience in supply chain management including 5 years at management level
- Experience of SCM in the food, pharmaceutical or FMCG sectors
- Strongly customer-oriented with an emphasis on over-delivering
- Innovative and creative; driven towards leading the business forward
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite applications, sales database, and web applications
