Technical Manager

Our client is a respected supplier of top quality food products for the national and international retail, commercial and food service markets.

This is a high profile role reporting to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for the implementation of Site QA systems to ensure that they meet Customer, Business, Legislative and relevant accreditation body standards.

Location: Mayo, Sligo, Roscommom

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, due diligence and other specific subjects relating to food safety
Previous experience in a technical role within the meat industry
Knowledge of microbiology and chemical analysis would be advantageous

Scope of Job:

Ensure the relevant food safety and quality standards are consistently achieved
To work with the operations team to ensure that relevant food safety and quality standards are consistently achieved in line with product specification requirements
To liaise with customers ensuring all concerns, queries and new ideas are discussed and dealt with quickly and efficiently
To review and update site specific operational procedures with an aim to improve current methods and practices
To update and maintain an efficient HACCP and due diligence system by auditing and reviewing G.M.P throughout the site with a proactive approach

Remuneration/Package: Negotiable depending on experience.
