Industry Talent Manager

Our client, a government group is recruiting an Industry Talent Manager. Reporting to the Market Director the role of the Industry Talent Manager is to maintain and build on the existing suite of Talent Development programmes, to attract high quality talent, ensuring that those participating in the programmes feel valued, that their contribution is recognised and that they can identify substantial career prospects in the food industry.

Location: Dublin, Kildare, Meath

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Develop and maintain the internationally recognised Food Industry Educational programmes that attract high calibre talent, who can identify substantial career prospects in the Irish Food Industry
  • Build excellent relationships with Irish food, drink and horticulture companies so that they deliver a shared ethos and commitment to sustainable growth, enabling them to develop in world class markets
  • Develop relationships with key customers and retailers to grow placement opportunities and partnerships with progressive food companies
  • To continually review current programs to ensure they contain high quality, most up to date, and relevant educational/industry components, are structured appropriately and are delivered using best learning methods and international business leaders
  • Work closely with educational providers ensuring the highest standards are set when recruiting talent
  • Manage PR and media, recruitment and selection campaigns across all programmes
  • Communicate and inform client companies on all the programs, the value and impact they can deliver for their business
  • Work with client companies to assist them in design project briefs
  • Manage the induction process in respect of client time required, eg on site inductions and monthly communications and updates etc.
  • Proactively work with students, assisting them to gain employment in the food industry at the end of the programme
  • Maintain and develop existing placements with customers/clients ensuring there is a value add for both parties
  • Identify new placement opportunities for talent across the food industry

Key Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification in relevant discipline e.g. Business, HR, Marketing, etc
  • 5 years' experience operating in the space of talent development
  • Experience of graduate recruitment/development advantageous
  • EMEA experience
  • Experience developing and managing relationships with global organisations
  • Client management experience
  • Large budget and project management experience
  • Sector relevant experience, e.g. food, drink, horticulture, meat, education
