Quality Manager – Dublin North

An excellent position exists for a driven, enthusiastic Quality Assurance Manager to join a rapidly growing and progressive food manufacturing business. Our client is BRC AA accreditated company.

This role will report directly to the Managing Director and will ensure that both product and process meet specification, statutory obligations & customer requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for controlling the day to day quality activities of the site in addition to maintaining and improving the sites Quality Management System.

Location: Louth, Meath, Dublin 

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring compliance with all customer Food Manufacturing Standard requirements
• Managing and implementing a fully functioning HACCP system
• Responsibility for managing and implementing all other aspects of the Food Safety and Quality Management System
• Dealing with all customer technical issues
• Preparing for and hosting audits, sending timely responses and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Setting Quality objectives and department KPI's with senior management
• Communicating with senior management and all other personnel regarding Food Safety and Quality issues including communicating with all on status of all Technical & Quality issues
• Ensuring all aspects of raw material and supplier approval are compliant re Food Safety and Quality
• Ensuring all process on the factory floor are compliant re Food Safety and Quality
• GMP training of staff
• Managing finished product quality
• Managing all Food Safety and Quality documentation

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Food Technology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
• Good understanding of HACCP principles and BRC V7
• Ideally with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing
