Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician

Our client in the West of Ireland seeks a Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician to maintain the machinery and equipment within their very busy food manufacturing facility and its offices.

Location: Galway, Mayo, Roscommon 

Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining manufacturing equipment and heavy machinery.
• Regularly carrying out preventative maintenance on machinery and repairing breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Ensuring new equipment is appropriately and safely installed for usage.
• Work as part of a team to ensure suitable maintenance support is given to all shifts and areas of the business.
• Ensuring that relevant individuals are informed of maintenance issues and breakdowns affecting the production process.
• Adhering to BRC and HAACP standards.
• Provide general maintenance services throughout the factory and offices.

Requirements:

• Recognised certification as an Electrician.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Experience in maintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Be a team player that works off of their own initiative and works in a proactive manner.
• A good communicator that takes direction well.
• Experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
